Information we collect

When you request a quote, we collect:

• your name, email address and phone number;
• the service you need, where the job is, and any message you write;
• the businesses you chose and the consent statements you agreed to, with the date and time;
• your IP address and browser type.

When a business owner or team member creates an account, we collect their name, email address, phone number, and anything they add to their listing, such as a logo, photos and a description.

Please do not include health or other sensitive personal details in the message box. A business does not need them to give you a quote.

Where business listings come from

Listings that a business has not claimed are compiled from public sources, such as business websites, online maps and government records. They include business details such as name, address, phone number, email address, website, hours and trade.

How we use information

• to send your request to the businesses you chose;
• to run business accounts and listings;
• to prevent spam, fraud and abuse of our forms;
• to contact businesses about their listings and about our services;
• to keep records of consent and meet our legal duties.

We do not contact people who request quotes. Only the businesses you chose will contact you about your request.

Who receives your information

• The businesses you choose. When you submit a request, we send your details to the businesses named on the form, and to no one else. If you submit a request from one business's page, only that business receives it.
• Service providers that host our website, store our data, send email, handle account login and block spam. They process information for us and not for their own purposes.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
• A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or merged.

Once a business receives your request, that business handles your details under its own practices. We do not control what a business does with them.

We share your request only with the businesses you choose. We do not show ads or use ad-tracking tools.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep account holders signed in and to check that forms are sent by a person and not a bot. We do not use advertising cookies.

We do not track you across other websites, so we do not change how our site works when your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as we need it to provide our service, keep records of consent, and meet our legal duties.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete the details you gave us, email legal@localprosplus.com. We will reply within 45 days. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.

When we delete your details, we keep a short record that you gave consent: the wording you agreed to, the date, the businesses it named, and a scrambled copy of your phone number. It does not include your name, email address or message. We keep it so we can show what you agreed to if a question comes up later.

Deleting your details from our records does not delete a copy that a business already received. Contact that business directly.

To stop a business from calling or texting you, tell that business, or reply STOP to its texts.

For businesses listed in this directory

To correct or remove your listing, use our Contact page. To stop our marketing email, use the unsubscribe link in any of those emails. To stop our calls, tell the caller or use our Contact page.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that information will never be accessed without permission.

Children

This site is for adults. It is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

Texas residents

The choices above apply to you. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will post a notice on the site.
